SAP Integration Suite Consultant

Role Summary
The SAP BTP–CPI Lead is responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and leading integration solutions using  SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)  and  Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) . The role involves overseeing end‑to‑end integration lifecycle, collaborating with business and technical teams, ensuring integration quality, and guiding junior developers.

Key Responsibilities
1. Integration Architecture & Design
Design and architect integration solutions using  SAP CPI ,  SAP BTP Integration Suite ,  API Management , and related services.
Develop integration flows (iFlows) for cloud‑to‑cloud and cloud‑to‑on‑premise scenarios.
Define integration patterns, mappings (XML/JSON), routing, exception handling, and security (OAuth, SAML, SSL/TLS).
2. Development & Technical Delivery
Build and customize interfaces using REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, SFTP, JMS, AS2, RFC, JDBC, and other adapters.
Perform system integration testing, troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure adherence to best practices.
Develop APIs using SAP API Management and maintain integration catalogs and documentation.
3. Project Leadership
Lead integration projects through requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live support.
Manage cross‑functional coordination, project timelines, deliverables, and resource planning.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with functional teams, business analysts, and business stakeholders to understand integration needs.
Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical integration specifications.
5. Governance, Security, and Compliance
Ensure security standards, authentication, encryption, and compliance with data privacy and regulatory norms.
Maintain transport management, SLD configuration, and deployment governance.
6. Team Leadership & Mentoring
Guide junior developers, perform code reviews, enforce development standards, and foster knowledge sharing.

Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Deep hands‑on experience with  SAP CPI ,  SAP BTP Integration Suite ,  PI/PO ,  API Management ,  Integration Advisor ,  Open Connectors , and Cloud Connector.
Strong proficiency in integration protocols (SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, IDoc, JMS, JSON/XML).
Experience integrating SAP S/4

HANA, Success Factors, and other SAP or non‑SAP applications.
Experience
Years of experience in SAP integration, 9 to 12
Preferred Certifications
SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Cloud Platform Integration or similar.
