Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for the installation, configuration, performance tuning, security, and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server environments. The DBA will ensure database availability, reliability, and optimal performance for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain databases using Microsoft SQL Server .
Administer and support cloud databases on Amazon RDS .
Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances in production and non-production environments.
Monitor database performance and optimize queries using Transact-SQL (T-SQL) .
Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
Ensure database high availability using SQL Server Always On Availability Groups .
Perform database migrations from on-premises environments to Amazon RDS .
Monitor databases using cloud monitoring tools .
Manage database security, including logins, roles, and permissions .
Troubleshoot database performance issues and resolve bottlenecks.
Configure and maintain database replication and clustering where required.
Perform routine maintenance such as index rebuilds and statistics updates .
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational policies.
Work with development teams on database design and performance improvements .
Monitor SQL logs and system health regularly.
Automate administrative tasks using SQL Jobs .
Support database deployments and upgrades across environments.
Maintain documentation for database architecture and procedures .
Provide support during production issues and outages .
