Required Experience
7+ years of overall IT experience with a strong focus on Data Warehousing and Data Lake solutions.
Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale Data Warehouse and Data Lake architectures.
Strong experience working with cloud-based database platforms in AWS and/or Azure environments.
4+ years of experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL database administration, development, and performance optimization.

Experience with MongoDB, Document DB, or other document-oriented databases.

Technical Skills
Deep understanding of Data Warehouse modeling concepts, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, dimensional modeling, and data governance best practices.
Strong expertise in SQL query tuning, performance optimization, indexing strategies, partitioning, and database troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of database infrastructure, scalability, high availability, backup/recovery, security, and capacity planning.
Experience designing and implementing standardized database frameworks, governance models, and best practices across enterprise platforms.
Hands-on experience with Liquibase or similar tool for database version control, schema deployment, and change management.
Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines for database and data platform deployments using tools such as Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, or similar.

Experience with cloud-native database services on AWS and/or Azure.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience defining enterprise database standards, reusable frameworks, and automation processes.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, ARM templates, etc.) is a plus.
Experience working with large-scale data platforms supporting analytics and reporting workloads.
Understanding of database monitoring, observability, and cost optimization in cloud environments.

Ability to collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
