AVP - SEO

The search landscape is being rewritten in real time. Google is no longer the only front door, buyers now discover, evaluate, and decide through ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and AI Overviews.

We are looking for an  AVP - SEO  to lead this shift from the front, someone who can build and scale our AI-driven discovery practice while owning revenue, margin, and delivery excellence spanning AIO/GEO, SEO, Content, Performance, and CRO. This is a builder's role. You will define how an entire organization thinks about AI visibility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead AI-Driven Discovery (AIO/AEO/GEO) Practice
Own AIO/AEO/GEO practice: strategy, delivery frameworks, and client outcomes
Build and evolve the standard operating playbook for AI visibility, covering technical readiness, content authority, and brand presence across AI platforms
Educate clients honestly on what AI can and cannot deliver, and set the right expectations early
Train and upskill delivery teams so the entire organization speaks a consistent, credible AIO & LLM narrative
Stay ahead of a fast-moving landscape (LLM behaviour, platform updates, ranking signal shifts) and translate that into strategy changes before competitors catch up

2. Revenue & Margin Accountability
Own revenue and margin outcomes for your portfolio, tracked against real dashboards
Protect and grow margins through smart resourcing and effort tracking, without compromising delivery quality
Retain enterprise accounts for the long term by staying close to outcomes
Shape winning proposals with the sales team, with AI-driven discovery expertise as your edge in the room
Spot and convert cross-sell and upsell opportunities as client needs evolve toward AIO and beyond

3. Delivery & Operational Excellence
Ensure high-quality, timely, outcome-driven delivery across every account in your portfolio
Track effort variance against baseline estimates across SEO, Content, and every COE, and act on what the numbers tell you
Build a structured project review cadence with clear KPIs and clear ownership at every level
Continuously improve delivery processes through standardization and automation, not more headcount

4. Systems, Automation & Governance
Drive adoption of ERP as the single source of truth for tracking, billing, and performance.
Build a culture where managers and teams use data to catch problems before they become escalations
Maintain strong client satisfaction and resolve risks and escalations before they threaten the relationship
Identify what can be automated (keyword research, technical audits, reporting, etc.) and partner with tech to build it

5. People Leadership & Capability Building
Build a strong leadership pipeline of managers and future leaders within your unit
Set clear goals, KPIs, and career paths for your team
Drive continuous learning through structured training and mentorship, not just annual reviews
Build a culture of ownership and accountability that scales as the team grows

What You Bring
8+ years in digital marketing, SEO, or a related domain, with at least 2+ years owning revenue or business-unit performance
Real, hands-on AIO/AEO/GEO expertise. You should be able to walk into a room of CMOs and explain how AI platforms actually decide what to cite
Experience managing large enterprise accounts and multi-disciplinary teams
Strong commercial instincts: you understand margins, utilization, and what actually drives profitability, not just delivery
Comfort with dashboards, data, and systems as the way you run a business
A genuine builder's mindset. You'd rather create the playbook than just follow one
