Position: Data Presales Engineer (Microsoft Fabric)
Location: Mysuru

Cloud Gate is a Microsoft Solutions Partner headquartered in Sharjah Media City, UAE, with offices in Cairo, Riyadh, Bangalore, and London. We help enterprises across MENA and Africa modernize on Microsoft Azure, and our data practice is built around Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
We're hiring a Data Presales Consultant to be the customer-facing voice of our Microsoft Fabric offering. You'll present Fabric to senior customer audiences, build analytics use cases for different industries, and turn customer conversations into well-scoped solutions that win deals. Success in this role means strong customer presentations, convincing demos, and Proofs of Value that convert into signed projects. You'll work closely with Account Managers, our Data & AI Lead, and Microsoft field teams.
Responsibilities
Present Microsoft Fabric and Cloud Gate's data offerings to CIO, CTO, CDO, and Head of Analytics audiences across MENA and Africa.
Run Discovery Workshops and Fabric assessments, and turn business needs into clear solution scope.
Design Fabric solutions using One Lake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI, including medallion architecture and F-SKU capacity sizing.
Build industry analytics use cases with the right KPIs and dashboards. These cover real estate, oil & gas, banking, FMCG, manufacturing, and healthcare. Examples include occupancy and revenue, production and SCADA telemetry, regulatory reporting and customer 360, sell-out and trade promotion, OEE, and patient flow.
Build and deliver tailored Fabric and Power BI demos, and run Proof of Value engagements that convert into signed projects.
Write technical proposals, SOWs, BOMs, effort estimates, and RFP responses.
Work with Microsoft sellers and Partner Development Managers on co-sell (MSX) and partner incentive programs.
Build reusable presales material, including pitch decks, demo environments, and industry use case packs.
Qualifications
5+ years in data engineering, BI, or analytics, including at least 2 years in presales or solution consulting.
Strong hands-on Microsoft Fabric knowledge, or equivalent experience with Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or Power BI Premium.
Strong Power BI, SQL, and data modelling skills, with the ability to build a convincing demo quickly.
Proven ability to build industry analytics use cases for real estate, oil & gas, banking, FMCG, or manufacturing.
Excellent presentation skills: confident with C-level audiences, clear at telling a data story, and able to handle questions on the spot.

Experience with discovery workshops, demos, RFPs, proposals, and SOWs.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to have: DP-600, DP-700, or PL-300 certification;
Real-Time Intelligence (KQL, Event stream, Eventhouse) experience; presales experience with MENA or Africa customers;
Arabic language skills.
