Claidroid Technologies Pvt. Ltd.  is hiring experienced  DB2 Database Administrators  for a strategic enterprise technology engagement with a leading global client.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong hands-on expertise in  DB2 UDB Administration on Linux, performance tuning, backup and recovery, DB2 upgrades, Ansible automation, shell scripting, and L3/L4 troubleshooting .

Role Overview
As a  DB2 Database Administrator , you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring and optimization of enterprise  DB2 databases running on Linux .

You will support database health, performance, security, upgrades, backup and recovery, user access, incident resolution and automation initiatives across business-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain  DB2 UDB databases on Linux .
Monitor database health, availability and performance.
Support  DB2 upgrades, RHEL upgrades and application upgrades .
Provide  L3/L4 troubleshooting  for complex database incidents.
Manage database  backup, recovery, security and user access .
Perform database and SQL performance tuning.
Manage storage and I/O performance issues.
Support production and development DB2 environments.
Use DB2 utilities including  Reorg, Runstats, Rebind, Export, Import, Load, Backup, Restore and Recovery .
Develop and maintain  Ansible roles/playbooks and shell scripts  for automation and operational improvement.

Must-Have Skills
7+ years of relevant experience as a DB2 UDB DBA .
Strong hands-on experience with  DB2 Administration on Linux .
Strong experience in  DB2 performance tuning and monitoring .
Hands-on knowledge of  backup and recovery .

Experience with  DB2 Explain and SQL access-plan optimization .
Strong  L3/L4 troubleshooting  capabilities.
Good knowledge of DB2 utilities such as  Reorg, Runstats, Rebind, Load, Backup and Restore .
Ansible experience is essential , including the ability to write or customize playbooks.
Shell scripting knowledge is preferred.

Experience with  Dynatrace  for database monitoring will be an advantage.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for professionals who are strong in  DB2 administration, Linux, troubleshooting, performance engineering and automation , and who can take ownership of business-critical database environments.

Candidates should be comfortable working independently while collaborating with application, infrastructure, vendor and customer teams.
