We are seeking a Purchase Executive to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the machine building industry , with a background in vendor development , procurement of electrical and standard bought-out components , and hands-on expertise in SAP/ERP systems .
Key Responsibilities:
Handle procurement of mechanical, electrical, and standard bought-out components required for machine manufacturing.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Review and analyses purchase requisitions, RFQs, and purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure the best value.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor scorecards.
Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure specifications and requirements are met.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, delivery, and inventory through SAP/ERP systems .
Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply or quality issues.
Support cost-reduction initiatives by identifying alternative suppliers and value engineering opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all procurement policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Key
Skills & Requirements:
3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing within the machine building or industrial equipment manufacturing industry .
Proven experience in vendor development and supplier relationship management .
Good knowledge of electrical components, mechanical items, and standard bought-out parts (e.g., motors, sensors, panels, fasteners, bearings, etc.).
Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems for procurement and inventory management.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Familiarity with ISO standards and procurement compliance.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials) is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (Diploma with relevant experience may be considered).
Exposure to cost control and strategic sourcing.
Knowledge of lean procurement and inventory management principles.
