Production Manager

Location: Tiruvallur

Xtrawrkx is hiring a seasoned  Production Incharge  on behalf of a leading organization in the battery manufacturing domain. The role is responsible for managing and optimizing day-to-day production operations, ensuring efficient output, consistent quality, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards. This position requires hands-on shop-floor leadership, strong process understanding, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and supervise daily production operations to achieve output and quality targets.
Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Prepare and manage production schedules, manpower deployment, and shift planning.
Train, mentor, and guide operators and technicians to ensure strict adherence to SOPs and best practices.
Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with relevant teams.
Maintain accurate production records, MIS reports, and KPI dashboards.
Ensure full compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) norms and statutory requirements.
Support initiatives related to cost reduction, productivity enhancement, and process optimization.

Qualifications & Experience  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Production Engineering.
Minimum  5+ years of experience  in production or manufacturing operations.
Prior experience in  battery, automotive, electronics, or allied manufacturing sectors  is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of production planning, lean manufacturing principles, and quality systems.
Hands-on experience in shop-floor management, manpower handling, and shift supervision.
Working knowledge of ERP / inventory management systems for production tracking and reporting.
