Job Title – Sr. Mould Design Engineer

Working days and timings - 9.15 AM - 6:45 PM
Location – Rajkot
Experience :
- 5-7 years
Qualification - CIPET / Diploma / BE
Software Requirement: Siemens UG NX (Mandatory)
Salary: ₹50, monthly (Plus transportation, Meals & other benefits)
About the Role:
1. Role Objective
To design and develop high-precision plastic injection molds for toy components, ensuring manufacturability, efficiency, durability, and optimum mold performance using Siemens UG NX software.
2.
Key Responsibilities
Mould Design & Development
Create 2D & 3D injection mold designs using NX software.
Develop complete mold layouts: core, cavity, slides, lifters, ejectors, cooling systems, gates, and runners.
Ensure mold designs meet toy safety standards, dimensional accuracy, and production feasibility.
Modify and upgrade existing molds to reduce defects and improve cycle time.
Product Design Assistance
Work with NPD/Product Development team for new toy parts.
Perform DFM reviews and suggest modifications for manufacturability.
Provide 3D modeling support for toy component development.
Technical & Mold Flow Analysis
Conduct mold flow analysis to evaluate cooling, shrinkage, gate selection, and warpage.
Identify defects like sink marks, weld lines, flow imbalance, and recommend solutions.
Documentation & BOM
Prepare mold BOM, part lists, detailed technical drawings, and documentation.
Maintain revision control and ensure proper file management.
Execution & Coordination
Collaborate with tool room, CNC, EDM, and machining teams during mold fabrication.
Support mold trials, debugging, and problem-solving during testing.
Guide toolmakers and machinists with technical input.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Ensure accuracy, durability, and reliability of molds used for toy parts.
Suggest improvements to reduce scrap, cycle time, and enhance mold life.
Implement changes based on QC, production, and customer feedback.
3. Required Skills & Competencies
Expert in Siemens UG NX (must).
Strong knowledge of injection molds: 2-plate, 3-plate, hot runner, collapsible cores, unscrewing, and multicavity molds.
Understanding of toy-grade plastics, shrinkage, molding defects, and processing behavior.
Knowledge of CNC machining, EDM, milling, and mold assembly process.
Strong visualization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prepare and interpret complex CAD drawings.
4. Additional Requirements
Experience in Toy Manufacturing or Plastic Industry preferred.
Strong communication and cross-department coordination.
Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
