Die Maintenance Supervisor Casting

Job Role
1. Handling shift operations in Casting Die Maintenance area. ( Team size - 20).
2. Succesful SOP of new plant die maitnenace area and scaling up operations.
3. Troubleshooting in die breakdowns. Ensure fiirst time ok after die change.
4. Train new operators as per WIS. Train for die maintenance skills.
5. Achieve shift area target wrt Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Suggestions.
6. Supporting training of new trainee supervisors.
7. Ensure timely die preventive check and corrections..
8. Maintain Floor Control, 1S /2S in core area.
9. Note and resolve operator concerns on time.

Educational

Qualification:

Diploma/Graduation
(With Specialization):
Diploma. in Mechanical/Production Engineering

Job Responsibilities 1. Understanding and implementing effective Preventive Maintenance plan of High Pressure Die Casting dies.
2. Achive shift output targets wrt Die Maitenance Plan, Breakdown %.
3. Monitor and improve diewise, modelwise breakdown %.
4. Suggest and implement ways to improve die performance on machine.
5. Train new operators as per WIS. Support in developing new trainee supervisors.
6. Ensure shift safety adherence wrt PPE, KYT. Reporting near misses.
7. Resolving or reporting operator concerns timely. Multiskilling as per plan
8. Area floor control and 1S /2S adherence.
9. Understanding and adhering to 5S, 3G, 3K, HP-REN-SO principles.
10. Participate in 5 Why analysis, PDCA, 7 QC Tools, Cost saving suggestions.

Competencies / Skills Functional/Technical:
. Sound knowledge ofdie casting dies construction/ elements. Drawing reading.
. Hands on experience in effectively handling die trouble shooting.
Best die repair practices, maintaining die history, die as per 3D Model
Ability to understand process flows and reduce defects by corrections.
. Work experience in 4W Die Casting dies and preventive maintenance.
Understand die breakdowns like water leak, polishing, die matching ng.
. Expertise in taking countermeasures for reducing die downtime or unplanned die changed.
Hands on experience in trouble shooting of die breakdowns.
. Ability to do 5 Why, PDCA, 7 QC Tools is mandatory
. Proficiency in MS Excel Advanced & MS Power Point
