Himatsingka  is a vertically integrated global textile major that designs, develops, manufactures and distributes a suite of home textile products. We manufacture bedding and bath products, drapery and upholstery fabrics, and fine-count cotton yarn, which are amongst the largest in the world. We as an organization have grown exponentially over 25 times in the last 20 years, witnessing several challenges along the way, but faced them all with collective strength and determination.
We were incorporated in the year 1985 with luxury Drapery & Upholstery business at Bangalore having a capacity of 2 MMPA. Our aggressive expansion strategy saw the construction of vertically integrated Greenfield Bed Linen manufacturing facility at Hassan in the year 2005. Our Hassan facility boasts of one of the world's largest integrated manufacturers of Bedding products with a Capacity of 61 MMPA*/12 MSSPA**.

Our Terry Towel operation is also amongst the world's largest integrated manufacturers of Terry Towel products with a capacity of 30,000 TPA***. We also operate the world's largest Cotton Spinning plant under one roof equipped with 211,584 spindles. Our spinning plant is one of the leanest, cleanest and the most automated and efficient plants in the world.

As part of its growth strategy, Himatsingka Seide is undertaking an ambitious and well-rounded expansion across the textile and apparel value chain. The fabric segment of this expansion includes both woven and knitted fabrics, enabling the company to cater to a wide range of end-use applications with enhanced design flexibility and quality control. In parallel, the company is also setting up a garment manufacturing plant, strengthening its presence in finished apparel and further enhancing vertical integration.

Alongside fabric and garment manufacturing, the expansion also encompasses advanced knitting capabilities and a focused yarn sales business serving both internal and external markets. Position Summary
The Head of Quality Assurance will lead end-to-end quality management for Bottom Weight and Shirting apparel fabrics across weaving, processing, finishing, and garment-ready inspection stages. The role is responsible for establishing quality systems, ensuring product consistency, minimizing defects, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with customer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management
Develop and implement company-wide Quality Management Policies and SOPs for Bottom Weight and Shirting apparel fabrics.
Ensure adherence to quality standards across raw materials, in-process production, and finished fabrics.
Monitor customer deliverable fabric parameters including:
GSM
Shade consistency
Tensile strength
Dimensional stability
Color fastness
Pilling resistance
Weave defects
Shrinkage
Hand feel and finish quality
Lead fabric inspection systems using 4-point inspection methods.
Production & Process Control
Work closely with spinning, weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing departments to ensure process capability and quality consistency.
Analyze production defects and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
Reduce rejection, reprocessing, and customer complaints through root cause analysis.
Drive Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen initiatives.
Vendor & Raw Material Quality
Approve and evaluate yarn, dyes, chemicals, and accessory suppliers.
Establish incoming quality standards for yarns, greige fabrics, dyes, and chemicals.
Conduct vendor audits and supplier performance reviews.
Laboratory & Testing
Oversee textile testing laboratory operations.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and international standards such as:
ISO
AATCC
ASTM
OEKO-TEX
Supervise testing related to:
Color fastness
Abrasion
Tear strength
Formaldehyde
PH value
Eco-compliance
Customer Quality & Compliance
Handle customer audits and technical quality discussions.
Manage Customer feedback, complaints, and corrective actions with domestic and export clients.
Ensure compliance with buyer requirements and sustainability standards.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor QA managers, lab technicians, inspectors, and quality teams.
Conduct training on quality systems, defect prevention, and process discipline.
Build a strong quality culture across manufacturing operations.
Reporting & Analytics
Prepare quality MIS, KPI dashboards, defect analysis reports, and audit reports.
Track:

Rejection %
Customer complaint trends
RFT (Right First Time)
Cost of poor quality

Desired Candidate Profile
Education
B.Tech / Diploma in Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, or related field.
Certifications in Six Sigma, ISO, Lean…
