Team Member - Automation

Position: TEAM MEMBER - AUTOMATION
Location: Kanchipuram

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on all instrumentation and control equipment.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to field instruments, control valves, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and DCS (Distributed Control Systems).
Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies to minimize production interruptions.
Calibration & Compliance:
Conduct regular calibration and validation of instruments (flow, pressure, temperature, level transmitters, belt weigh feeders, load cells, etc.) to maintain accuracy and comply with ISO standards and industry regulations.
Ensure all safety protocols and statutory norms are followed during maintenance and operations.
Operations & Coordination:
Monitor instrument outputs and process parameters to ensure healthy operating conditions.
Coordinate with the process shift in-charge and other departments (Mechanical, Electrical, Production) to execute jobs effectively.
Supervise and guide shift technicians, managing manpower allocation and work permits.

Documentation & Improvement

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, calibration logs, and equipment history cards.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports and assist in preparing the annual budget for spares.
Assist in developing and implementing improvement activities and process optimization initiatives (e.g., WCM tools, root cause analysis).
Manage the availability of frequently used spares and raise purchase requisitions as needed.
