Responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the rolling mill to ensure smooth production of TMT bars as per quality and safety standards. The role involves monitoring mill performance, coordinating with maintenance teams, and ensuring minimal downtime through effective troubleshooting and preventive actions. The engineer assists in process optimization, yield improvement, and adherence to production targets while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory norms.

Job Description
The Assistant Engineer in the Process Department is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of the rolling mill, focusing on the production of TMT bars. This role demands a proactive approach to monitoring mill performance and collaborating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting and preventive measures. The engineer is tasked with optimizing processes, improving yield, and meeting production targets while adhering to stringent safety and regulatory standards.

A key aspect of the role involves maintaining comprehensive documentation and analyzing production data to drive operational efficiency and enhance product quality. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Additionally, the role requires a strong understanding of production planning and control, manufacturing technology, and product knowledge to support strategic decision-making.

The engineer must also exhibit a global mindset and business acumen to align operations with organizational goals.

Principal Accountabilities
Implement the production plan to achieve defined targets efficiently and effectively ensuring optimal output with minimal wastage and lossbr

Maximize machine uptime by planning and executing strategies for energy reduction and cost optimizationbr

Oversee the rolling mill process to ensure smooth and efficient operations maintaining high standards of quality and safetybr

Plan and manage resources including manpower machinery and materials to meet production goals and enhance operational efficiencybr

Ensure the safety of personnel and machinery by complying with all applicable safety standards and regulationsbr

Support the receiving inspection storage and charging of raw materials according to established process normsbr

Monitor raw material quality parameters such as billet size chemistry and surface defects coordinating closely with the Quality Assurance teambr

Assist in TMT rolling mill operations including managing the reheating furnace rolling quenching and cooling processes to ensure product quality and consistency
