Job Purpose/ Summary

The Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET. is responsible for supporting departmental operations through  learning, assisting, and executing assigned engineering and shop-floor tasks  under supervision.

The role aims to develop  strong manufacturing discipline, safety consciousness, and technical competence  to prepare the individual for future independent engineering responsibilities within the organization.

Job Description
The DET will undergo  structured on-the-job training  across assigned departments of the integrated pipe and steel manufacturing facility.

The trainee will be exposed to  plant operations, equipment, processes, quality systems, and safety practices , while progressively taking responsibility for defined tasks.

The Role Requires

Willingness to work in a shop-floor based manufacturing environment

Ability to learn processes, SOPs, and engineering practices

Strict adherence to safety and quality standards

Upon successful completion of the training period, the DET may be absorbed into a  line engineering, supervisory, or technical support role  based on performance and organizational requirement.

Principal Accountabilities
Assist engineers and supervisors in daily departmental activities by providing operational and technical supportbr

Support the execution of production fabrication inspection maintenance or process tasks as allocated by the departmentbr

Learn and adhere to standard operating procedures SOPs work instructions and technical drawingsbr

Observe and assist in the operation of machines equipment and material handling systems to gain practical experiencebr

Strictly follow plant safety rules personal protective equipment PPE requirements and safe work practicesbr

Participate in toolbox talks safety inductions and safety observations to enhance safety awarenessbr

Adhere to quality requirements as per ISO API and customer standards supporting quality checks and documentationbr

Gain practical exposure to manufacturing processes equipment and workflows learning basic troubleshooting under supervisionbr

Actively participate in training programs skill enhancement sessions and evaluations to foster continuous improvementbr

Maintain basic records checklists and reports as required by the department ensuring accurate documentationbr

Communicate observations abnormalities or safety concerns to supervisors promptlybr

Coordinate with team members and support interdepartmental activities when assigned promoting teamwork and collaborationbr

Maintain discipline punctuality and professional conduct adapting to shift work and operational requirementsbr

Perform any other duties assigned by the reporting authority related to training and development contributing to personal and departmental growth
