About
The Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Chemist to join our Agro R&D team . The candidate will support research and development activities focused on agrochemical synthesis, formulation, and process development , contributing to innovative and sustainable solutions for the agriculture sector.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory experiments related to synthesis, purification, and characterization of agrochemical intermediates and actives.
Support formulation development (herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, insecticides).
Perform reaction monitoring, analysis, and documentation of experimental results.
Assist in scaling up lab processes to pilot level under senior supervision.
Work with analytical teams to characterize compounds using NMR, HPLC, GC, LC-MS, etc.
Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols, GLP, and EHS guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional R&D and manufacturing teams to transfer learnings.
Key Skills
Qualification:
M.Sc. with Organic Chemistry
Hands-on skills in synthetic chemistry and analytical techniques.
Exposure to agrochemical formulations (preferred).
Familiarity with GLP, EHS, and laboratory safety practices.
Good documentation and data interpretation skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
