Chakan, Pune
Reports To : R&D Manager

Overview

This position will be responsible to run new formulations in lab and test it as per the specifications or benchmarked product. He will also support in pilot trial batches monitoring and  developing new test methods, quality control criteria and manufacturing instructions for chemicals, Adhesives & Sealants.

Duties and Responsibilities   :

Run new formulations in lab based on local requirements – Sealants and Adhesives.
Document the results of the tests in form of a test report in a professional matter.
Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation needed for tests with minimal supervision.
Work out of additional technical data such as weatherability, chemical resistance / compatibility, other relevant material properties.
Assist in the scale up from laboratory scale to full production.
Place order to Test Centre and other internal or external units for specific tests.
Recognise irregularities, product problems, etc and communicate it properly.
Consult with the Senior Technical and R&D Colleagues regarding lab projects/activity and provide appropriate follow-up.

Education:

B.Sc. / chemistry, Polymers, Sciences

Experience :

Minimum of 2 years' experience in R&D, Application Test, customer support, technical service in relevant market field of Specialty Chemicals, Adhesives  and Sealants ( Preferably Polyurethane / SMP / Epoxy / Acrylics  ).

Skills :

Hands on experience in running and testing formulations in lab
Strong collaborator and team player.
Good communication in english.

Knowledge:

Proficient in MS Office, DoE, etc.
Methodical and accurate documentation.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
