Job Summary
The Logistics Executive will be responsible for managing and coordinating logistics operations at the factory location. The role involves handling inbound and outbound transportation, ensuring timely dispatch of materials and finished goods, maintaining accurate logistics documentation, and coordinating with internal departments and transport vendors to support smooth manufacturing and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations at the factory.
Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of finished goods as per sales and production plans.
Manage transportation through approved vendors and ensure cost-effective logistics solutions.
Prepare and verify logistics documents including invoices, delivery challans, LR copies, e-way bills, and gate passes.
Track vehicle movement and shipments; follow up on delays and resolve logistics issues.
Coordinate with stores, production, purchase, and sales teams for smooth material movement.
Maintain logistics data and records in ERP/Tally systems.
Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and company logistics policies.
Support inventory movement and assist in stock reconciliation as required.
Required Skills & Competencies
Sound knowledge of logistics and transportation operations.
Experience in factory or manufacturing logistics is preferred.
Working knowledge of GST, e-way bills, and logistics documentation.
Proficiency in ERP systems, Tally, and MS Excel.
Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple shipments.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
Diploma or certification in logistics will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirement
3 to 7 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in a manufacturing or agro-chemical industry.
