CNC Machinist, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering
At Origin Precision Machining, we are building a Space Coast–based high-precision CNC machining firm specializing in tight-tolerance, multi-axis machining of many metals including titanium, Inconel, and aluminum components for aerospace, defense and advanced manufacturing applications.
Our mission is to establish a vertically integrated, AS9100 and ISO
13485 compliant, ITAR-ready machining operation designed from day one for quality, scalability, and long-term strategic growth. We are not building a job shop — we are building a precision machining platform engineered for flight-critical and mission-critical hardware.

The 5-Axis CNC Machinist is a highly skilled machinist responsible for setting up, proving out, operating, inspecting, and troubleshooting complex 3- and 5-axis CNC machining operations.
The successful candidate will be capable of independently taking a released job from setup documentation and CNC program through prove-out and production while maintaining dimensional accuracy, surface finish, productivity, and quality requirements.
Experience with
DN Solutions DVF
5000, DNM
4500, or comparable 3- and 5-axis machining centers is highly desirable.
- Independently set up and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC machining centers.
- Set up complex work holding, fixtures, tooling, probes, and material.
- Verify CNC programs prior to machining.
- Safely prove out new and existing programs.
- Make appropriate G-code, offset, tooling, and machining adjustments.
- Understand 3+2 and simultaneous 5-axis machining operations.
- Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies based on material, geometry, tolerance, and finish requirements.
- Optimize feeds, speeds, stepovers, depths of cut, and tool engagement.
- Troubleshoot tool breakage, chatter, dimensional variation, poor surface finish, and other machining issues.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D models.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspection activities.
- Work with Quality to resolve dimensional and process issues.
- Maintain accurate production, inspection, and traceability documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve cycle time, tool life, quality, and repeatability.
- Assist with development and improvement of setup documentation.
- Support FAI and aerospace documentation requirements.
- Work closely with programming, engineering, and quality personnel.
- Follow and support ITAR, ISO
9001, AS9100 and ISO
13485 procedures. - Maintain equipment, tooling, fixtures, and work areas.
- Train and assist less-experienced machinists.
- Strong 5-axis CNC machining experience.
- Ability to independently perform complex CNC setups.
