Position Summary & Description
SUMMARY:
Reporting to an IT Services Coordinator, this position is the most senior purely technical role within IT Services. The incumbent is responsible for implementing assigned projects and performing senior-level administration of databases, networks, and systems, as assigned. This position manages daily operational issues for production systems and participates in the evaluation,selection, design, and implementation of new systems and networks. This role evaluates institutional practices and re-engineers processes to improve operations and services.
The incumbent is responsible for all phases of the software life cycle, includinganalysis, design, development, implementation, and documentation,and works collaboratively with fellow IT Services employees to implement new technologies. In addition, this position provides leadership, subject matter expertise, research, documentation, and consulting services tosupport the work of committees, teams, and individuals, as assigned.
This is a temporary, grant-funded position ending June 30, 2029,with the possibility of extension contingent upon funding renewal.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Performs senior level administration of databases, networks and systems, as assigned. Manages daily operational issues for production systems.
- Provides leadership, subject matter expertise, performs research, provides documentation and consulting to support the workof committees, teams and individuals, as assigned.
- Responsible for implementing projects as assigned.
- Works with fellow IT Services employees to implement new technologies.
- Evaluates institutional practices and re-engineers processes to improve operations and services.
- Participates in the evaluation, selection, design, and implementation of new systems and networks.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
WORK LOCATION:
- This position is 100% remote.
Position Qualifications
MINIMUM:
- B.S. Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum seven years of experience in a variety of informationtechnology roles, with demonstrated increases in levels of responsibility.
- Minimum of five years either application development, database administration, systems administration, or network administration.
