Position OverviewWith general supervision, the Staff Accountant, Fixed Assets will oversee operational processes affecting fixed asset records across the US Utilities. Responsibilities include internal control processes, unitization activities, and collaboration with Operations and support functions to ensure effective controls and progress tracking against goals. The role involves reviewing fixed asset transactions, supporting audits and tax queries, and contributing to digital and growth initiatives.
Preparing reports and analyses as needed is also part of the role.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Accounting/Finance
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong organizational and professionalism skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in Utility, Power, or Energy industries
- Knowledge of fixed asset subledger accounting
- Understanding of US Utility industry accounting and rate-making
- Experience with SAP ERP system
- Power Plant experience
- Familiarity with month-end closing processes
