Overview –

Essential Functions:

• Advise supervisor on status of all accounts.
• Assist management with budget request preparation.
• Develop and recommend new accounting methods and procedures.
• Provide guidance to program staff on funding-related accounting matters.
• Develop and maintain fiscal program policies.
• Coordinate computerized accounting system use.
• Certify accuracy of financial records and accounts.
• Analyze and interpret financial statements and reports.
• Control appropriated fund flow.
• Interact with and respond to state and federal auditors.
• Make adjustments to close books.
• Provide mail room backup when needed.

• Prior experience in an accounting role — 2 years
• Prior experience analyzing and preparing financial reports — 2 years
• Prior experience developing and maintaining fiscal policies — 2 years
• High School Diploma
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel — 1 year
• Efficient and accurate data entry experience — 1 year
• Strong oral and written communication skills — 1 year
• Customer Service experience — 1 year
• Prior experience communicating with state and federal audit representatives — 2 years
• Prior experience using People Soft Financials
• Prior experience working with State, County or Federal Budgets
• Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting

• Mid-Senior level
