Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Lawrenceburg, IN
Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 annually
Travel: None

Position DescriptionThe Staff Accountant supports accounting and finance functions within manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost accounting, and compliance with company policies. Working closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership, this role performs analysis that drives cost control, supports decision‑making, and contributes to continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with cost accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis.
- Reconcile inventory balances (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) and investigate discrepancies.
- Partner with operations to track production costs, labor efficiency, and overhead allocation.
- Analyze manufacturing expenses and prepare management reports.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Participate in internal control testing and process improvement initiatives.
- Support internal and external audit requests and required schedules.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
- Support high‑level sales and service contracts and internal/executive communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or cost accounting.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, modeling).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
