Location: Indianapolis

A leading Central Indiana hotel management company, General Hotels Corporation, is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant with a strong attention to detail to become a member of the organization. We are looking for a strong, self‑driven accounting professional to handle the accounting functions for the corporate entities. This hands‑on position reports directly to the Corporate Accounting Manager and is a hybrid position with 3–4 days in the office per week.

General

Duties To Include (but Not Limited To)
  • Maintain subledgers and post monthly adjusting journal entries
  • Review and analyze monthly income statements for accuracy
  • Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows
  • Complete bank and account reconciliations
  • Research and resolve account reconciliation differences
  • Compute and prepare monthly customer billing by creating invoices and credit memos and updating internal accounting records
  • Process accounts payable, including posting invoices
  • Monitor bank accounts, make transfers, and record journal entries as needed
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
Knowledge, Training, Skills And/or Experience
  • 1‑2 years relevant experience preferred
  • Sage Intaact Experience a plus
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Strong ability to multitask to complete critical deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player approach
