Job Purpose:
This position serves as a Staff Accountant for Lucas Oil Products. Responsibilities include, but are
not limited to, day-to-day accounting operations across multiple business entities. This position reports directly to
the Corporate Controller.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reconciles bank accounts and creates adjusting journal entries.
- Records journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications
- Assist with month end and year end close
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Apply customer payments (ACH, wire, check) accurately
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due balances
- Coordinate with internal teams on billing issues and discrepancies
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and account procedures Aids in designing, documenting, and implementing accounting processes and procedures.
- Aids in development of budgets.
- Other responsibilities as requested.

Position Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a stationary environment for long periods of time on a computer.
- Ability to travel to different sites as needed
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Understanding of GAAP
- Hands-on experience with AR, AP, and GL accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
Education/Licenses/Experience Required:
- Degree in accounting or other business-related field is required
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferable in a multi-entity environment
