What You’ll Actually Do

Apply:
Apply professional accounting and auditing knowledge and techniques, working under the guidance of an experienced Field Examiner or Field Supervisor.
Assist in Planning:
Support the planning phase for routine or special audits of local agencies and governmental units.
Assist in Conducting:
Contribute to the execution and fieldwork of routine or special audits for local governmental entities.
Verify Compliance:
Review and confirm adherence to State, federal, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations across audited units.
Ensure Adherence:
Validate consistency and adherence to accepted accounting principles and established management practices.
