Classic​/Race Car Mechanic

Maintain and run classic road and race cars ranging from 1910 to 1970 for Mac Allister Machinery. The position involves maintenance, repair, restoration of vintage race cars, motorcycles, and trucks, and supporting the company’s outside business.

• Maintain, repair, and prepare 11-12 historic race cars for use at 5-7 events annually.
• Support race cars at race events in the US and overseas.
• Support classic cars on road rallies as needed.
• Restore, repair, and maintain over 100 motorcycles.
• Restore, repair, and maintain 10-12 classic trucks.
• Maintain over 60 vintage cars in the collection.
• Maintain, repair, and clean all classic seasonal driving cars.
• Clean and check all everyday road cars.
• Maintain a clean and tidy workshop.
• Fabricate parts as needed.
• Machine parts as needed.

• 10 years of experience working on automobiles.
• Experience in racing at a high level.
• Classic/vintage car repair experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Basic machining skills.
• Basic fabrication skills.
• Basic composite skills.
• Work with others as a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
