Project Superintendent – Maxwell Construction
Job Summary:
Maxwell is looking for Superintendents to oversee and coordinate all activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing safety checks, and providing on-site direction for construction sites.
- Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation.
- Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.
- Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
- Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
- Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
- Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly.
- Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary.
- Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
- Implement cost‑effective and efficient management techniques.
- Minimum of 10 years of field experience in the commercial construction industry.
- OSHA 30 preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage and direct on‑site project teams to successful completions.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, walk, and work at heights for extended periods of time.
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
- Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects while carrying tools and equipment.
- Vision – ability to see details at close range and at a distance (naturally or with correction) and distinguish colors.
- May work outside and exposed to weather.
- Wear protective or safety equipment, i.e., safety boots/shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.
- Work in dusty or dirty surroundings.
- May be exposed to high levels of noise, grease, dust, and a variety of substances typical of a construction site.
