We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our growing team. This is a full-time, field-based leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day jobsite operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and promoting a safe working environment.

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from project start through completion.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
• Maintain project schedules and proactively address challenges to keep projects on track.
• Conduct daily quality control inspections and ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and company standards.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and contract documents.
• Establish, communicate, and enforce expectations for workmanship, installation quality, and finished product standards.
• Monitor project progress and prepare required documentation, reports, and field communications.
• Identify and resolve construction issues before they impact schedule, quality, or budget.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a culture of safety on every project.
• Serve as the primary on-site representative of Gilliatte General Contractors and maintain positive relationships with owners, architects, inspectors, and subcontractors.

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction superintendent or onsite supervisory experience.
• Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple trades.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, processes, and best practices.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Demonstrated success delivering projects on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive jobsite.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• SWPPP certification preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check if required.
