The Wilson Bruce Evans Home Historical Society is looking for a Content Developer to work in cooperation with an Exhibit Design Team to make plans for the interior public spaces now under rehabilitation in the National Historic Landmark Wilson Bruce Evans House. The Content Design position is funded as part of a grant from the National Park Service’s African American Civil Rights program.
Any work that may impact the site or structure must meet the Secretary of Interior Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation.
The work of content development will proceed in stages with the following sequence of deliverables:
- Preliminary Outline:
Outline of key interpretative themes and narratives for each space; - Schematic Design:
Identification of key objects, images, quotes, and other elements within completed museum script; - Exhibit Design consultation: consultations on floor plans, story boards, scale drawings, copy edited and proofread graphic layouts;
- Final Design consultation: consultations on preparation of final bid package for exhibit fabricators.
Evans HHS has budgeted $12,000 for this position. Minority-owned businesses and female- owned businesses are encouraged to apply.
