Overview

Indiana University Health Physicians and Indiana University School of Medicine Division of Endocrinology are seeking a patient-focused Academic Endocrinologist to collaborate with our teams. This academic opportunity provides balanced clinical and academic components with a well-established group of board-certified Endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, and certified diabetes educators. The Diabetes Translational Research Center at Indiana University School of Medicine offers access to the latest research and clinical trials.

The major research interests include alcoholism, hypertension, metabolic bone disease, obesity, lipid disorders and diabetes. The Division of Endocrinology is recruiting Physician Scientists with an interest in pituitary or thyroid diseases. The pituitary specialist will collaborate with high-volume pituitary surgeons as the Co-Medical Director of the Pituitary Disorders Program within the IU Neuroscience Institute Skull-Based Surgery Program.

Position Details

  • Full time Endocrinology opportunity with research expectation
  • Assistant/Associate Professor Faculty title
  • Schedule:

    Monday–Friday, plus 4–6 weeks per year of inpatient service with Fellows and Residents
  • Split call amongst a large group of Endocrinologists
  • Referrals from the largest primary care and specialty care practice in Indiana
  • Practice location in the downtown Indianapolis area
Responsibilities
  • Hybrid clinical and academic role within Endocrinology
  • Collaborate with pituitary surgeons and specialists in the Pituitary Disorders Program
  • Engage in research and participate in clinical trials through the Diabetes Translational Research Center
Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology
  • Interest in mentoring Fellows and collaborating with practicing physicians
  • H1B Visa sponsorship available
