• Develop and maintain an independently funded research program of international caliber, securing competitive external funding.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in bioinformatics, clinical and health informatics, and biomedical engineering, employing active learning strategies.
• Lead multiple initiatives, promoting BMEI research projects, curriculum development, and multidisciplinary research and training programs in the health and life sciences.

• Ph.D. or clinical doctorate (M.D., D.N.P., D.D.S. or Pharm.
  
  D.) in biomedical informatics, medical informatics, biomedical engineering, computer science or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to develop a cutting‑edge, independent research program and to secure competitive external funding.
• Effective teaching experience and creativity in pedagogy for online or blended learning.
