This range is provided by Indianapolis Public Schools. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. - Base pay range: $6,772.00/yr - $6,772.00/yr
- Pay Rate:
Commensurate with experience
This is a full-time teaching position with benefits. The teacher will help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible men and women.
Responsibilities- Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
- Assists in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.
- Maintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
- Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
- Collaborates with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
- Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
- Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program clarification.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and schools.
- Assumes responsibility for meeting his/her course and school-wide student performance goals.
- Demonstrates gains in student performance.
- Participates in continuous professional growth activities.
- Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and coordinating.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Building Principal.
- Shall possess or be eligible to receive a valid Indiana Teacher's License for the appropriate grade level and/or content area.
- Operational knowledge of technology.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- PTO Days – 13 days (pro-rated based upon hire date). Balance rolls into sick days July 1. See CBA for details.
- Days from previous school transfers at 25% per year per IC-20-28-9-10.

Indiana Teachers Retirement Fund (TRF) paid by corporation; 403(b) Salary Deferral Agreement – 2% employer match with a contribution minimum of 2% of salary. - Carriers – Corebridge or Equitable.

Additional may be purchased through athletics;
