Responsibilities
  • Teach groups of students in a classroom setting, based on a curriculum and supported by instructional materials.
  • Develop daily lesson plans to ensure curricular content is covered timely throughout the semester or school year.
  • Use various instructional methods and techniques to meet unique student needs and assess learning.
  • Modify instruction, re‑teach, and remediate to ensure student success.
Qualifications

Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree in elementary or secondary education.

Licensure: Indiana State Teaching license.

Salary and Benefits

Salary schedule: Starts at $51,000 for Bachelor’s, $52,000 for Master’s with 0 years experience.

Maternity positions: Paid at a daily rate of $275.67 for a licensed candidate.

Benefits: Effective 1st of the month following the first day of employment.

Physical Requirements

Seldom = Less than 25 % (3). Often = 51 to 75 % (4). Occasional = 26 to 50 % (4). Very Frequent = 76 % & above (1).

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (3).
  • Ability to carry 25 pounds (2).
  • Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations (4).
  • Ability to see for the purpose of reading laws and codes, rules and policies and other printed matter (4).
  • Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels (4).
