Overview

Ameri Corps Member serving in the Robinson Community Learning Center's Theater Programs at Notre Dame Data Science. This role is located at the Robinson Community Learning Center (RCLC) and partner schools during the academic year. Ameri Corps members join a mission-driven, community-focused environment at the University of Notre Dame.

• Assist Program Director with Theater Lab activities during the academic year and/or summer, including weekly rehearsals, set and costume preparation, and final performances of recitals and plays.
• Assist with development and implementation of Theater Lab activities, including professional development presentations, teaching drama integration classes at local schools, and after-school drama activities.
• Assist with drama curriculum development and implementation; align learning objectives to Indiana State Core Standards.
• Assist with program evaluation, including coordinating pre- and post-testing, collecting results, and distributing/collecting evaluation surveys.
• Collaborate with RCLC Program Director to explore expansion of existing programming (additional activities, times, or sites).
• Recruit/coordinate volunteers for RCLC programs and maintain communication with volunteers and the Volunteer Coordinator; support volunteers during/after activities.
• Document RCLC program activities with Photos and text; submit information to the RCLC website and social media.
• Oversee special projects and coordinate special events with RCLC program staff.
• Attend weekly Ameri Corps meetings at the RCLC.

• Living Allowance: amount depends on Ameri Corps member status (bi-monthly payments).
• Education Award:
  Segal Ameri Corps Education Award after successful completion; can be used for qualified student loans or education expenses.
• Education Award amounts vary by status (Full-time, Half-time, Quarter-time, Minimum-time).

• Training in education and workforce development; potential certifications (e.g., Child and Youth Care Worker).
• Opportunities to lead multiple projects; service in a non-profit setting; collaboration with community partners and Notre Dame departments.

• High School Diploma required; experience in theater, media, or the arts; experience working with youth;
  Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; bilingual skills a plus.

• Monday–Friday, hours vary based on status and term (7:30am–6:30pm window).
• Term:
  September 1, 2025 – July 31, 2026.
