The teacher salary schedule is based on teaching experience and starts at Bachelor’s $51,000/Master’s $52,000 with 0 years of experience.

Reports To:
The teacher reports to the building principal and/or the building administration.
General Duties:
North Central has a strong theatre tradition, along with a very supportive community and administration. This position includes a variety of class options, including Theatre Arts I, Theatre Arts II, Advanced Theatre, and a Repertory Theatre class. The successful candidate will deliver a progressive and challenging curriculum in the class assignments, as well as work with the Technical Theatre Director and the Performing Arts Department Chair to plan and supervise the extracurricular shows performed each school year
The applicant should:
- Hold or be eligible for an Indiana Secondary Theater License.
- Have experience in teaching and leading acting, as well as the stage and technical aspects of theatrical productions.
- Demonstrate a superior ability to work collaboratively with peers and superiors in accomplishing cooperatively developed educational goals.
- Possess excellent characteristics for representing a positive public relations image.
- Demonstrate a positive understanding of the educational needs of high school adolescents.
- Exhibit excellent communication and collaborative skills to work with staff, the community, post-secondary partners, parents, and theater organizations.
- Have a working knowledge of computers, databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and printers.
- Have knowledge and experience with theatrical productions, including musicals, drama, comedy, and other related genres.
- Be highly organized, with the ability to plan for and meet deadlines, pay attention to detail, and be self-directed.
