Responsibilities- Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
- Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
- Supplement and alter, where appropriate, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
- Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
- Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging online students with their learning.
- Interact with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complying with College policies, guidelines and expectations.
- Maintain a safe, quality online educational environment.
- Promote an environment that reflects the broad backgrounds represented by our students and employees in which every individual feels respected and valued.

Education And ExperienceA qualified faculty member in Business Administration meets the program standard through one of four routes:
- Earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, business education, public administration, management, marketing, or a related field as appropriate to the program; or
- Earned related or out-of-field master’s degree with documented 18 post-secondary semester /27 quarter credit hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or related field; or
- Earned related or out-of-field master’s degree with documentation in two or more of the following: in-field national/regional/state professional certification (not a teaching license), three years of in-field professional employment (teaching in the area not counted), documentation of research and publication in the field, or documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree (equivalent to 15 semester/22 quarter hours or equivalent).
- Earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a related field with documentation in two or more of the following: professional certification, three years of in-field professional employment, documented teaching excellence, documentation of research and publication, or documented additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree (equivalent to 18 semester hours or CEUs).
