• Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Supplement and alter, where appropriate, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
• Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging online students with their learning.
• Interact with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complying with College policies, guidelines and expectations.
• Maintain a safe, quality online educational environment.
• Promote an environment that reflects the broad backgrounds represented by our students and employees in which every individual feels respected and valued.

A qualified faculty member in Business Administration meets the program standard through one of four routes:

• Earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, business education, public administration, management, marketing, or a related field as appropriate to the program; or
• Earned related or out-of-field master’s degree with documented 18 post-secondary semester /27 quarter credit hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or related field; or
• Earned related or out-of-field master’s degree with documentation in two or more of the following: in-field national/regional/state professional certification (not a teaching license), three years of in-field professional employment (teaching in the area not counted), documentation of research and publication in the field, or documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree (equivalent to 15 semester/22 quarter hours or equivalent).

• Earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a related field with documentation in two or more of the following: professional certification, three years of in-field professional employment, documented teaching excellence, documentation of research and publication, or documented additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree (equivalent to 18 semester hours or CEUs).
