Full-Time Youth Pastor
New Life Christian Fellowship – Fortville, Indiana (East of Indianapolis)

New Life Christian Fellowship is an intergenerational, Christ-centered church family of 150–250 people located in a rapidly growing community just east of Indianapolis (approximately 35 minutes). Position SummaryThe Youth Pastor will provide vision, leadership, and pastoral care for students (grades 7–12) while equipping and empowering volunteers, engaging families, and creating an environment where students are known, loved, challenged, and discipled.
This role combines spiritual leadership, relational ministry, teaching, administration, and community presence.
Key Responsibilities Ministry Leadership & Teaching- Plan and oversee weekly youth services (games, worship, teaching, response, small groups).
- Prepare and teach engaging, biblically grounded youth sermons.
- Develop small group curriculum and guide leaders in discipleship.
- Prepare Sunday School lessons for students.
- Design spiritual growth environments that promote genuine faith formation and discipleship.
- Plan service flow, coordinate volunteers, and communicate weekly schedules.
- Prepare volunteer and parent communication emails.
- Maintain attendance reporting, rosters, and communication records.
- Coordinate meals, supplies, materials, and event logistics.
- Manage youth ministry finances and expense tracking.
- Maintain regular social media and promotional communication for youth events.
- Build intentional relationships with students and families.
- Follow up with new visitors and absent students.
- Provide pastoral support to students and parents in times of need.
- Serve as a visible presence in schools and community events when possible.
- Encourage and support youth volunteers relationally and spiritually.
- Assist in Sunday Church operations including setup, worship assistance, and engagement with congregants.
- Lead student Sunday School.
- Oversee Youth Group setup and execution on Sunday evenings.
- Ensure all systems, equipment, and spaces are properly managed before and after services.
- Maintain healthy rhythms of personal devotion and spiritual formation.
- Engage in intentional prayer for students and ministry.
- Pursue continued learning through reading, mentorship, and leadership development.
- Commit to ongoing personal and ministerial growth.
- Maintain a consistent office presence.
- Communicate proactively with church leadership.
- Support broader church initiatives and events.
- Demonstrate flexibility and team-oriented leadership.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and regular pastoral check-ins.
- Clear calling to youth ministry and pastoral leadership.
- Passion for discipling young people into mature followers of Christ.
- Strong communication and relational skills.
- Aligns with the doctrinal statement and mission of New Life Christian Fellowship.
- 1–3 years of youth ministry experience preferred.
- Theological education or ministry training.
- Experience leading teams and developing volunteers.
- Background in creative teaching and student engagement.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- Salary: $42,000 annually.
- Pension Contribution: $1,260 annually.
