Full-Time Adjunct Nursing Faculty (Practical Nursing Program)

OverviewSeeking a full-time Nursing Faculty Instructor to teach and support students in a 1-year Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program. This position combines classroom instruction, clinical training, and curriculum delivery within an already established curriculum. This opening is due to an unexpected faculty vacancy.
Who This Role Is ForRNs with a BSN who are passionate about teaching, mentoring, and blending academic instruction with real-world clinical application. Ideal for nurses with experience in post-secondary or vocational instruction and those committed to preparing students for clinical practice and NCLEX-PN success.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver classroom lectures (9:30a–2:30p, Mon–Thu) and clinical instruction (8a–2p, Mon–Thu).
- Follow established curriculum using ATI tools.
- Prepare/update lesson plans, exams, handouts, and simulation materials.
- Use varied teaching methods to support learning.
- Supervise up to 7 students during clinical practicums (cohorts up to 20 per term).
- Clinical sites include a hospital and pediatric long-term care unit within one hour.
- Ensure safety and compliance with clinical partner policies.
- Participate in curriculum development, evaluation, and revision.
- Support program objectives, policies, and accreditation efforts.
- Assist with quality improvement and overall program operations.
- Grade assignments and evaluate skills using Google Classroom and ATI.
- Provide timely academic feedback and support student success.
- Maintain professionalism, communication, leadership, and teamwork.
- Classroom: 9:30a–2:30p
- Clinicals: 8a–2p
- Days:
Monday–Thursday - Off:
Friday–Sunday - Fixed schedule; no weekends or early mornings outside listed hours.
- Salary: $70,000–$85,000
- Overload pay not available (1-year program structure).

- BSN required
- Active, unencumbered Indiana RN license (must be currently licensed)
- Minimum 3 Years Of RN Clinical Experience
- Strong written/verbal communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to student development and NCLEX-PN preparation
- Prior teaching in post-secondary or vocational nursing
- Familiarity with ATI and simulation labs
- Ability to connect clinical practice with academic instruction
- Instructors manage 1–2 classes per term with up to 20 students per cohort
- Clinical supervision capped at 7 students per instructor
- Clinical sites located within one hour
