Apogee School for the Gifted welcomes résumés from caring, creative, and adaptable elementary educators interested in potential teaching opportunities in grades K–6. We seek teachers who enjoy nurturing curiosity, providing meaningful academic challenge, and supporting students’ social and emotional growth.
Founded in 2016, Apogee School for the Gifted is a private, nonprofit, state accredited school that serves gifted, profoundly gifted (PG), and twice-exceptional (2e) learners. Apogee is a close-knit community of approximately 40 students across kindergarten through high school. The past five years have been a consistent 20% growth in enrollment. Our 10 year goal is to grow and cap enrollment at 150 students.
Our approach combines advanced learning opportunities with social and emotional support through the lens of Developmental Neuroscience within a tightknit community. We recognize that a student may be ready for advanced academic work while still needing support with organization, emotional regulation, or social interactions. Classrooms are capped at 12-14 students to give teachers flexibility to individualize each child's learning plan. Our teachers respond to the whole child with flexibility, patience, and respect.
