North Miami Community Schools is seeking a qualified and dependable individual to serve as a Third Grade Teacher during a maternity leave. The successful candidate will provide instruction in core subject areas, maintain established classroom routines and expectations, and support students in continuing their academic progress throughout the teacher’s absence.

• Provide daily instruction in third-grade subject areas using lesson plans, curriculum materials, and resources provided by the classroom teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom learning environment.
• Assess student learning, provide feedback, and maintain accurate student grades and records.
• Manage student behavior in accordance with North Miami Community Schools’ expectations and policies.
• Communicate with students, families, staff, and administration as needed.
• Provide appropriate supervision of students during classroom instruction, transitions, and other assigned activities.
• Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain continuity of instruction and classroom expectations throughout the maternity leave.
• Perform other duties normally associated with the teaching assignment as directed by building administration.

• Classroom teaching experience preferred
• Ability to create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
• Willingness to follow established curriculum, lesson plans, procedures, and classroom expectations.
• Must meet all employment requirements of North Miami Community Schools.

This is a temporary position covering a maternity leave, expected to run approximately January 4 through March 15. Specific dates and additional responsibilities will be discussed with qualified applicants.
