BD Electrical & Solar is a leading provider of electrical and solar installation services in the Greater Boston area. We are seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Electrician with a focus on solar installation to join our team in the Plymouth and Barnstable counties.

This position offers a unique opportunity to learn and develop skills in both electrical systems and solar energy installations under the guidance of experienced professionals.

• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and solar panel installations.
• Support site assessments to determine the best placement and configuration of solar electrical equipment.
• Help with electrical wiring, connections, and testing of solar panels to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
• Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues related to solar panel systems.
• Follow local, state, and federal electrical codes and standards.
• Work alongside licensed electricians and solar installers to gain hands-on experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service, including educating clients on the benefits and operation of solar energy systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment in or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and principles.
• Strong interest in renewable energy and solar power.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Previous experience in electrical or solar installation (even as a hobby or volunteer) is a plus.
