Position Overview

As an Electrical Superintendent, you will bring expertise in industrial electrical installations, including underground duct banks, above–ground conduits, cable trays, cable pulling (power circuits, control, and instrumentation), terminations (MV, LV, C&I), and electrical equipment installation. In this role you will spend time in the field, ensuring the safety, quality, and productivity of the operations under your responsibility.

Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct‑hire construction services for power generation, utilizing a union craft force. KPC builds major EPC power plant and solar farm projects throughout North America.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supervisory direction of craft workers, managing performance of safety, quality, and production.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute field operations ensuring compliance with contract specifications, electrical code requirements, and quality procedures for your assigned scope of work.
  • Coordinate and interface with other superintendents and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
  • Develop a schedule based on provided man hours to ensure timely completion supporting the overall project schedule.
  • Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate.
  • Ensure project rules, procedures, and programs are followed consistently, including safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in the company’s non‑harassment and nondiscrimination policies.
Qualifications
  • Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
  • 5+ years of work experience in industrial electrical installation scopes. Candidates need not have superintendent experience; foreman or general foreman experience is encouraged.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance efficiently.
  • Highly motivated, with a passion for excellence and initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to getting the job done right the first time.
  • Commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Passion for safety; ability to ensure nobody gets hurt.
  • Team player capable of meeting deadlines, goals, and objectives.
