We are searching for an experienced Quality Engineer at our Plant 12-Fremont, IN facility. Dexter is a premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets. • Advise on provisions to minimize quality issues
• Develop and implement required quality documents
• Perform regular process audits
• Drive root cause and corrective actions – Own and lead the quality process
• Work with Engineering and Production to address internal quality concerns and corrective actions
• Prioritize quality improvement activities
• Utilize quality improvement training, activities, and policies
• Manage all documentation and reporting requirements for the quality system
• Develop performance improvement targets for quality
• Conduct customer surveys to solicit feedback
• Perform statistical analysis and data analysis
• Perform gage calibration, product testing, and maintain records
• Participate in quality audits
• Demonstrate hands-on mechanical capabilities, problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building in a productive team environment
• Develop reports of product conformance
• Other duties as assigned

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or a related field and 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in high-volume metal fabrication (e.g. forming, cutting, and welding). Automotive or transportation sector experience is a plus.
