We are searching for an experienced Quality Engineer at our Plant 12-Fremont, IN facility. Dexter is a premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets. - Advise on provisions to minimize quality issues
- Develop and implement required quality documents
- Perform regular process audits
- Drive root cause and corrective actions – Own and lead the quality process
- Work with Engineering and Production to address internal quality concerns and corrective actions
- Prioritize quality improvement activities
- Utilize quality improvement training, activities, and policies
- Manage all documentation and reporting requirements for the quality system
- Develop performance improvement targets for quality
- Conduct customer surveys to solicit feedback
- Perform statistical analysis and data analysis
- Perform gage calibration, product testing, and maintain records
- Participate in quality audits
- Demonstrate hands-on mechanical capabilities, problem solving, leadership, conflict management, and team building in a productive team environment
- Develop reports of product conformance
- Other duties as assigned

EducationThis position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or a related field and 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in high-volume metal fabrication (e.g. forming, cutting, and welding). Automotive or transportation sector experience is a plus.
