Responsibilities- Design all aspects of metal building systems, including structural steel, wall and roof panels, secondary members, and stability bracing
- Perform safe and economical structural design that fulfills project requirements while adhering to industry codes and standards
- Utilize proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis to ensure structural integrity
- Collaborate with the Detailing Department and other teams to communicate design requirements and ensure project execution
- Review and check structural drawings for accuracy
- Continually learn and develop as an engineer, exploring innovative solutions across the division
- Unique projects that broaden design experience
- Comprehensive design from base plate up for holistic understanding

- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam prior to hire date
- Proficient in verbal and written English
- Educational focus in structural engineering
- Basic knowledge of building construction
- Understanding of current building codes and standard industry practices
- Experience in pre-engineered metal building systems
