Role descriptionOur Indianapolis, IN team is looking for dedicated, creative, and energetic candidates interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address water issues such as quality, scarcity, reuse, management, and resilience as an Entry Level Water Engineer
. Collaborating with experienced water professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.

Roleaccountabilities
As an Entry Level Water Engineer you will be involved in evaluating, planning, and designing projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance, including pipelines and pumping facilities. Your support will also extend to project management activities. Additionally, you will contribute to sustainability and resilience projects by conducting vulnerability assessments, mitigation planning, and designing solutions for utilities, municipalities, and cities.
In the field, you will perform site visits, water sampling, water quality analysis, technology evaluation, process troubleshooting, and plant operation optimization. You will gather critical data to ensure efficient and effective functioning of water and wastewater systems.
Additional accountabilities:
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio‑visual materials and participate in client meetings.
- Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards, and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
- Learn, design, and manage databases, SQL Server (including reporting and integration services), cloud‑based computing services, and configuration of interactive dashboards.
- Work independently and as part of a team with flexibility to collaborate across the U.S. and internationally.
- Learn and use digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline).
- Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment.
- Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Revit.
- EIT certification.
