Engineer – Global Process Packaging

Bio Space seeks an Engineer for Lilly’s Global Packaging group, responsible for engineering and technical support across Lilly’s commercial packaging operations worldwide. The role collaborates with development and packaging sites to deliver efficient, quality packaging solutions for new molecules and line extensions.

• Provide engineering and technical support for processes, materials, systems, and equipment associated with packaging.
• Analyze operations, workflows, and packaging processes to propose solutions that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Assist packaging sites with process improvements and technology upgrades to minimize costs and production issues.
• Build process flow models to predict bottlenecks and determine resource needs for projects and sites.
• Support major capital projects, including design and testing in collaboration with Global Facilities Delivery.
• Share knowledge and educate cross‑functional groups on complex packaging engineering issues.
• Prepare presentations and technical reports.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, packaging, or biomedical preferred).
• 1–3+ years of Process Engineering experience, preferably in a packaging environment.

• Ability to work across functional, geographic, and external boundaries.
• Thorough technical understanding of quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with advances in packaging technology.

• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, both within the U.S. and internationally.
• Occasional work in manufacturing environments; safety equipment and/or gowning may be required.

Salary range: $66,000 – $171,600 (actual compensation depends on education, experience, skills, and geographic location). Full‑time employees are eligible for company bonuses and a comprehensive benefits program, including 401(k), pension, vacation, medical, dental, vision, and more.
