Principal Subject Matter Expert Aviation EW Systems

Amentum is seeking a Principal Subject Matter Expert for Aviation EW Systems to support our electronic warfare customers.

• Advise and recommend to NAVAIR leadership project level prioritization, feasibility, and alignment with program goal.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in project methodologies across various systems life cycles.
• Drive and support continuous improvement across various EW, AEA and AVI programs.

• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and activities to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
• Identify and provide mitigation recommendations for risks, and constraints during life cycle

• Analyze project performance metrics (Cost Schedule and Quality) to assess progress. Create and maintain dashboards and reports for program office leadership.
• Provide analysis to explain differences between planned and actual outcomes and provide data driven recommendations for corrective actions or process improvements.

• Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts. Support cost-benefit and ROI analyses for project proposals and decisions. Provide resource utilization recommendations to optimize performance.

• Review and Ensure projects adhere to organizational policies, regulatory requirements.
• Support and or lead project audits, risk assessments, and documentation reviews.
• Maintain project documentation in support of status updates and closure reports.

• Prepare and deliver executive level presentations and reports on project status and outcomes.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, sponsors, activities and fleet stakeholders.
• Manage expectations and ensure consistent alignment across teams.

• Administer or oversee use of project management and reporting tools (OFFICE products, Power BI, etc).
• Streamline workflows and automate reporting where possible.

• Minimum 25 years of experience
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• DAU Level III Program Management background
• Experience developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts
• Experience analyzing project performance metrics
• Experience tracking project costs, budget and forecast
• Experience supporting and leading project audits, risk assessments, and documentation reviews
• Experience preparing and delivering executive level presentations and reports

• Active Secret Clearance
