As a key member of On-Highway Product engineering, an Associate Engineer is to assist the Product Engineering to Design and validate products and provide product technical support cross functionally, including design changes, source of supply changes, open issue resolution, new features and new product variants. In this role, you will be responsible for a designated set of components of the organizations core revenue generating products
Responsibilities- Apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions using sound engineering principles, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups
- Review Structural and system level analyses and make design judgements based on results
- Recommend appropriate DVP&R level to validate products and execute completion by initiating test requests, supporting data review and interpretation and a thorough review of test reports
- Support DFMEA, PFMEA activity and assessment to Best Practices to guide product design
- Presentation of assigned Opportunity Scenarios in PE tech reviews as and open issue reviews for continuous improvement of products
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ME or EE preferred) / master of Engineering preferred
- Good oral and written (e.g. presentations) communication skills
- Technical Internship experience preferred
