Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) team, supporting the Chemical Vapour Infiltration (CVI) process. This role focuses on scaling, optimizing, and sustaining high-temperature composite manufacturing used in next‑generation aerospace applications. The successful candidate will drive process improvements, root cause investigations, and production readiness of CVI‑related operations.

What you will be doing:With this new role, you’ll have an opportunity to work on the following:
Process Development & Optimization- Support and improve CVI process parameters, cycle times and product quality.
- Collaborate with materials, R&D and design teams to transition new products from development to manufacturing.
- Define and implement process controls and lean manufacturing principles.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical support to CVI operations to resolve production issues.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, throughput and cycle time.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for non‑conformances.
- Author and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), manufacturing instructions and process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations specific to high‑temperature and reactive gas processes. Rigorously raise, investigate and resolve safety related issues.
- Support maintenance and upgrades of CVI furnaces and related process equipment.
- Participate in commissioning of new tools and process lines.
- Utilize Six Sigma, 5S, PFMEA and other quality tools to identify and execute process improvements.
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and capacity expansion planning. Responsible for self‑development to meet the required competencies for the role. Continuously seek to expand knowledge and experience to increase effectiveness in undertaking existing and new activities.

Basic Requirements- Associate’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of engineering experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience, OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering, OR
- PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering, OR
