Precise Systems is seeking an Engineering Technician V (30085) to support depot-level testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic warfare (EW) assets. This position combines hands‑on electronics work with customer coordination, repair documentation, parts management, and inventory accountability.

Work will initially be performed at the customer’s facility to gain familiarity with the assets, test equipment, repair procedures, and operational requirements. The position will subsequently transition to a contractor-operated off‑site depot facility and support the establishment and continued execution of repair operations.

This role requires in‑person support.

Duties:
  • Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and verification testing of EW electronic assemblies, subassemblies, and related equipment using approved technical procedures.
  • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, engineering drawings, and test requirements to identify failures and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Operate electronic test equipment, such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, and automated test systems, as required by the supported assets.
  • Perform authorized component replacement, soldering, desoldering, and rework in accordance with applicable workmanship standards and individual qualifications.
  • Document discrepancies, troubleshooting results, repair actions, replaced components, and final test results to maintain accurate, traceable maintenance records.
  • Communicate asset status, technical issues, parts shortages, schedule risks, and support needs to the customer and Program Manager.
  • Identify required repair parts and materials; prepare purchase requests; coordinate orders through approved channels; and track delivery, receipt, and availability.
  • Maintain accountability for repair assets, components, tools, test equipment, and consumables through receiving, inventory, storage, issuance, and shipment activities.
  • Track assets throughout the repair process, including location, configuration, condition, repair status, and outstanding material requirements.
  • Perform assigned inspections and quality checks within the scope of individual qualifications and authorization; document and report nonconforming material or workmanship.
  • Monitor test equipment calibration status and coordinate calibration or maintenance needs to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Support the transition to the contractor facility through knowledge transfer, equipment and inventory verification, workstation setup, and validation of test and repair readiness.
  • Follow applicable electrostatic discharge, safety, security, material handling, and quality requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve repair turnaround time, documentation accuracy, material availability, and overall depot performance.
